Who are we?

We are a privately owned, independent company with the purpose of making a positive difference in the market for vehicle trading and related services. We offer the same terms for both private individuals and businesses. As a self-financed company, we focus on creating value for our customers while also maintaining a good working environment for our employees.

Dinbilauktion.dk has three key objectives:

  1. Achieve higher prices for sellers – we strive to ensure that sellers receive a better price than what the market normally generates.

  2. Lower purchase prices for buyers – our platform gives buyers access to vehicles at a lower price than elsewhere, as we eliminate intermediaries in the trade.

  3. A simple, transparent, and secure trading experience – we strive to ensure that the transaction feels safe and straightforward for both parties.

 

How do we make this possible?

Imagine selling your used vehicle directly through us instead of going through a dealer who needs to make a profit and provide a warranty. In our system, sellers can achieve a higher sales price since we avoid the dealer’s margin and potential warranty obligations. At the same time, the buyer benefits from a lower purchase price, even though no warranty is included.

 

Is it safe to buy and sell on Dinbilauktion.dk?

Yes, we take safety and transparency seriously. Before a vehicle is put up for auction, we check for any outstanding debt or liens. We review the vehicle together with the seller, create a detailed item card based on the vehicle’s data, including registration and chassis number, and document defects and faults both in writing and with photos. The vehicle is then photographed and added to our online catalog with a unique QR code that follows it throughout the entire process.

Buyers register on our website by providing their name and email, after which they receive a QR code along with our terms and conditions. The QR code is required for access to the auction area and to view the vehicles outside of normal opening hours.

At the fall of the hammer, the buyer shows their QR code to our auction staff, who match it with the vehicle’s QR code. A sales deposit of DKK 3,750 incl. VAT is then paid. An electronic invoice is sent to the buyer, which must be settled via bank transfer. Once the payment has been received, the buyer can collect the vehicle.

 

What about the warranty?

Vehicles on Dinbilauktion.dk are sold based on the seller’s information and responsibility. If it turns out after the hammer falls that the vehicle was misclassified in relation to the stated category, the purchase can be canceled within two hours after the auction. Read more here.

Dinbilauktion.dk follows the Auction Act, which normally does not allow a right of withdrawal at physical auctions, but we offer this additional option for buyers. Read more under the right of cancellation.

 

How much does it cost?

Example of prices: It costs DKK 1,250 to sell a vehicle and DKK 2,500 to buy a vehicle. The prices are fixed, regardless of whether you are a private individual or a professional. All prices include VAT.
